The Light Oak (KY456-01-143) flexible acoustic panel gives a wall a pale, natural oak look with a clean vertical slat pattern. Unlike a rigid slat board, this panel is built on a flexible backing, so it suits flat walls and gentle curves as well as straight feature walls. Each panel is 2700 × 600 × 12 mm, and the slim 12 mm profile keeps the wall build-up light.

Why choose Light Oak (KY456-01-143)
Light oak is the easiest timber tone to live with. It reflects more light than walnut or smoked oak, stops a small room feeling closed in, and sits comfortably beside white, cream, grey and warm neutral walls. The evenly spaced slats add depth and shadow lines, so a plain wall looks considered without any extra decoration.
Because the slats sit on a flexible acoustic backing, the panel can follow a wall that is not perfectly straight, such as a curved feature wall, a rounded reception desk front or a shallow bay. That is the main reason to choose this panel over a rigid slat board.

Flat walls and gentle curves
Flexible acoustic panels are made for walls that a rigid slat board cannot follow. They can be used on a flat wall in exactly the same way as a standard slat panel, and they can also be applied to a gentle curve, such as a rounded corner, a curved partition or a shallow arc in a reception or hospitality fitout.

Living room and media room feature walls
A light oak slat wall behind a TV or sofa gives the room a focal point and softens the hard reflections that make dialogue and music harder to enjoy.
Curved and shaped walls
Rounded corners, curved reception fronts and shallow arcs are where flexible panels earn their place, because a rigid board would need to be cut into narrow strips to follow the shape.

Placed behind your desk, the slats add a tidy backdrop for video calls and reduce the hollow sound that bare plasterboard can create.

What to expect acoustically
Acoustic slat panels are designed to manage sound inside a room, meaning they help reduce echo and reflected noise. They are not a soundproofing product and will not stop noise passing through a wall into the next room. For that, the wall construction itself needs to be addressed.
Installing flexible panels
The right fixing method depends on your wall surface and on whether you are covering a flat wall or a curve. Tell us what the panel will be fixed to, such as painted plasterboard, timber framing or a curved substrate, and we will confirm the recommended method for this panel.

Before you order
- Measure the wall height and width, then check the 2700 mm panel length against your ceiling height.
- If the wall is curved, measure the radius or send a sketch and confirm the panel suits it before ordering.
- Confirm the wall is a dry interior surface. For outdoor projects, see our outdoor WPC panels.
- Keep the panels away from direct water. If you are considering a bathroom, contact us with your room layout and the distance from the shower or bath first.
- Look for power points, switches and vents you will need to work around.
- Screens show colour differently, so view the finish in person at one of our showrooms if the exact tone matters to you.
Delivery and returns
We deliver Sydney-wide. Delivery cost depends on your location, order size and product length, and standard shipping is free on orders over $150. Orders are dispatched with tracking, and if anything arrives damaged, contact our team straight away so we can sort it out.

It is designed for flat walls and gentle curves. How tight a curve it can follow depends on the product, so contact us with the radius or a sketch of your wall before you order.
What is the difference between flexible and standard acoustic slat panels?
Flexible panels use a flexible backing so they can follow gentle curves, while standard slat panels are rigid and suit flat walls. Both help reduce echo, and you can compare them in our acoustic slat panels range.
Do these panels stop noise travelling between rooms?
No. They reduce echo and reflected sound inside the room where they are installed. They do not soundproof a wall against noise from next door or outside.
How many panels do I need for my wall?
Each panel covers roughly 1.62 m². Measure your wall width and height, or send us the measurements and we can help you work out the quantity.
Can I see the finish before I buy?

Can I use Light Oak panels outdoors or in a bathroom?
