A black slat wall works best as the single hero surface in a room rather than on every wall. Pair it with lighter walls, pale flooring or warm timber furniture so the dark panel has room to stand out. Acoustic slat panels are designed to reduce echo and reflected sound inside a room. They do not soundproof a wall, so they will not stop noise passing through to the next room. If soundproofing is your main goal, the wall build-up itself needs to be addressed.

Installation notes

These panels can be fixed with panel adhesive or with screws, depending on the wall surface and the finish you want. Adhesive gives a clean face with no visible fixings, while screws make it easier to remove or adjust panels later. A flat, sound, dry wall gives the best result.

Before you order

• Measure the wall height and width, then compare your ceiling height with the 2900 mm panel length.

• Note any power points, switches and vents that will need cut-outs.
