Oak Acoustic Slat Wall Panels
EMU Design's oak acoustic slat panels bring a warm, natural timber grain to
feature walls, home offices and media rooms, while the felt-backed acoustic
layer behind each slat helps soften the echo of a hard, flat surface. The
range covers four oak tones — Silver Oak, White Oak, Smoked Oak and Black
Oak — so a pale, natural oak slatted wall and a bold, near-black oak
acoustic slat panel sit in the same collection, and you can order an
acoustic slat wall panel in oak that actually matches your room instead of
guessing from a screen. All panels ship Sydney-wide, samples can be viewed
at our Rouse Hill showroom, and trade and bulk pricing is available for
installers and builders ordering multiple runs.
Why Choose Oak Acoustic Slat Panels
- Four oak finishes in one collection — Silver Oak, White Oak, Smoked Oak and Black Oak — so a natural oak slatwall and a darker oak acoustic slat wall panel option are both available without switching suppliers
- Felt-backed acoustic slat construction, designed to reduce flat-wall sound reflection in living rooms, offices, media rooms and reception areas
- 2400mm and 2700mm panel lengths, so most standard ceiling heights are covered with minimal cutting and wastage
- Suitable for DIY installation on basic projects, with professional installers available for larger walls or ceilings
- Sydney-wide delivery, in-person viewing at our Rouse Hill showroom, and trade pricing for builders, installers and bulk orders

Where an Oak Slatted Wall Works Best
An oak slatted wall reads as a feature the moment you walk in, which is why
it's most often used behind a sofa or TV unit, along a hallway or entry, as
a headboard wall in a bedroom, or across a home office wall on video calls.
In commercial fit-outs, the same oak acoustic slat panels turn up in
reception areas, meeting rooms and hospitality spaces where both the look
and the light sound-softening effect matter. If a project needs a broader
mix of decorative wall finishes alongside the oak slats — stone-look or 3D
textures, for example — our 3D wall panels collection
is a useful next stop.
What to Check Before You Order
-
Wall height and width — measure the full area first, then decide whether the 2400mm or 2700mm panel length suits the space with the least cutting
-
Substrate — plasterboard, timber stud and masonry walls can need different fixings; tell us what you're fixing to so we can advise
-
Finish and felt colour — felt backing colour can vary between finishes and stock batches, so request a photo or a showroom viewing of the specific oak finish before ordering if the exact felt colour matters to your project
-
Budget — if the oak veneer range is outside budget for a large area, our MDF acoustic slat wall panel collection offers a lower-cost timber-look alternative with the same acoustic felt-backed construction
How to Plan and Install Your Oak Acoustic Wall
Start by measuring the wall or ceiling area and sending us the dimensions —
we'll help calculate how many oak acoustic slat panels you need, with a
reasonable allowance for cutting and wastage. Panels can be fixed with
screws or a suitable adhesive; installation accessories are available for
most of our panel products. Many customers install oak slat wall panels
themselves on straightforward wall areas with basic tools and experience,
but we recommend an experienced installer for large walls, ceilings, or
anywhere the substrate isn't straightforward — and we can help coordinate
that if needed.
Oak Acoustic Slat Wall Panel FAQs
What is an oak acoustic slat wall panel made from?
Our oak acoustic slat panels combine a timber-look oak slat face with a
felt-backed acoustic layer behind the slats, which helps manage sound
reflection compared with a bare wall. Felt colour can vary by finish and
current stock, so check the individual product page or ask our team if a
specific felt colour matters for your project.
How many oak finishes do you have, and what sizes are available?
Four in-stock oak finishes — Silver Oak, White Oak, Smoked Oak and Black
Oak — each available in 2400 × 600 × 19mm and 2700 × 600 × 19mm panels. A
fifth finish, Light Oak (KY456-01-143), is currently sold out.
Do you deliver oak acoustic slat wall panels across Sydney?
Yes. Sydney-wide delivery is available, and delivery cost depends on your
location, order size and product length.
Can I install oak slatted wall panels myself?
Many of our products are suitable for DIY installation if you have basic
tools and installation experience. For larger areas or ceilings, we
recommend an experienced installer and can help coordinate this.
Do you offer trade or bulk pricing on oak acoustic slat panels?
Yes. As a direct supplier, we offer competitive pricing, including better
rates for builders, installers, trade customers and larger-volume orders.
Can I see an oak panel finish before I order?
Yes — visit our Rouse Hill showroom to see the finishes in person, or
contact us and we'll send photos or a video of
the oak finish you're considering.
